Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 August 2026

These terms govern your use of Weekly Steps, operated by Known Ltd. By signing up, you agree to them.

1. The service

Weekly Steps is a free email newsletter: one email a week for the first two years (104 weeks) of your baby's life, covering development, feeding, sleep, safety and a weekly tip for parents.

2. Not medical advice

The content we send is general developmental information only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, nurse, paediatrician or other qualified health professional. Always consult a qualified professional about your baby's health. If you think your baby is unwell, seek medical help immediately.

3. Eligibility

By signing up you confirm that you are 18 or older and are the parent or legal guardian of the baby named in the form, or that you have their permission to provide that information.

4. Accuracy of information

You agree to provide accurate information, including a correct date of birth, so the emails stay relevant to your baby's age.

5. Your subscription

There is no account and no password. You subscribe with an email address. Every email includes an unsubscribe link and a link to manage your preferences, and unsubscribing stops all future emails.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual property

The emails and all their content are owned by Weekly Steps or its licensors, and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish or resell them.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and accurate, but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue the service at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weekly Steps is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
